Swimming Lessons for children 6months to about 6 years available.

Come swim in my back yard 90°F pool and have fun learning to swim. We are having a great time teaching lots of kids and adults to learn to swim every day.  My covered pool is comfortable and was beautifully made by Extreme Makeover Home Edition in 2007 so I can teach all year!

Class size of 4 children per half-hour has given us better attention to each swimmer.  Our gentle and fun approach to teaching lessons makes swimming lots of fun for the children.  We can also help refine swimmer’s strokes as well as aerobic conditioning to prepare for swim team.

Mom/tot classes start at 6 months and go to around 15 months (or when your swimmer is a confident runner).  Each swimmer will learn how to go underwater, actually learn to swim short distances, back float etc.  Parents learn how to hold your swimmer for the best learning environment and are encouraged to relax with their swimmer and enjoy the water together.

Toddler classes start around 15 months (or when your swimmer is a confident runner) to 2 ½ ish. Swimmers learn to play on the bench without the parent in the water. We start introducing strokes and learn how fun the water can be.

3 to 4 year old classes work on all strokes with our goal that they can swim 10-15 feet by themselves and start learning to swim the length of the pool with help.

4-up swimmers are on the quick path to learning.  Our system turns their fear into fun and they find themselves swimming and by 6 years old we want them ready for swim team!!

Special needs students are encouraged to develop their water safety skills in a positive and fun environment. Several of our special needs swimmers have gone on to Special Olympic swim teams!

Classes run Monday through Thursday, morning, afternoon and early evening classes available every 30 minutes.

FAQs

Are there classes after 3:30 pm?

Yes we do but we are currently full after 3:30pm on M, T, Th, and full after 1:30 pm on Weds. The waitlist for these classes is also full.

What are Mom/Tot classes?

Mom/tot class are for 6mo to about 15 months old or once your child is running. Once they are running we have you get out of the pool and they play on the bench in the water and learn from there. It works really well. Toddler and above do not need a parent in the water unless the instructor deems it necessary.

How do I get into your swim program?

You must fill out your swimmers information on our waiting list. The more available you are the easier it is to get into our program.

Our program runs year round with a weekly lesson that is 30 minutes long and has 4 or 5 swimmers per class.

How warm is the pool?

Pool is set at 89-90 degrees. Our pool is chlorinated and we use a UV system. There is a heater inside the tent and the changing rooms have heaters inside as well.

Do you have weekend classes?

No we do not swim on the weekends, and are closed on fridays. We swim Monday - Thursday: 9am - 5pm.

How long is the student enrolled in the program?

We ask all new families to make a 10 week commitment to start lessons (payment due monthly) and then you are welcome to stay as long as you want. A 30 day notice is required to leave the program.

What are the costs?

Please contact us for current rates. Tuition is due on a monthly basis prior to your lessons.
